On July 14, the 37-year-old TV personality and insurance agent announced via Instagram that she would be leaving the show for good and thanked fans for their support throughout the ups and downs of Season 16. 

“I want to thank everyone who supported me, my friends, my followers, my amazing team, and everyone who defended my name,” the star captioned a slideshow that captured her wearing a stunning gold and silver shimmering gown by Vietnam-based designer Nguyễn Tiến Truyển, presumably what she would have worn had she attended the reunion on July 13.

Eady said she decided to walk away from the show to protect her “peace over destroying” her “mental health.” 

She continued:

“It’s very easy to say what I should have done, when most have not walked a day in my shoes,” she continued. “I choose ME, and a lot of ppl can’t say they choose themselves.” 

How did we get here?

Eady endured a lot after her extreme fallout with former #RHOA star Kenya Moore. In June 2024, during the opening of her hair spa, Moore displayed a large poster featuring a sexually explicit image of a woman performing oral sex, claiming it was Eady. The shocking display, which occurred amid a feud between the two, led many to believe the woman in the image was Eady, an allegation she has firmly denied. As a result, Eady chose not to attend the season reunion. Moore was suspended and ultimately exited the series following an internal investigation. 

As previously reported, in the aftermath, Eady filed a $20 million lawsuit against Bravo, NBCUniversal, and production companies True Original and Endemol Shine North America, accusing them of defamation and emotional harm. The lawsuit further alleges that Eady was never shown the photo before the episode’s airing, despite asking repeatedly.

In her post shared Monday, Eady revealed that she was still “healing” from the drama that she experienced on the show. 

“I still have a lot of healing left to do, but you can’t heal in the same place that made you sick.” She added, “I don’t owe anyone closure, I only owe myself to do what’s best for me. My journey here is done.”

To show off a bit, Eady flaunted her stunning gown once more in a follow-up post, with a caption that read, “NO BRIT. NO REUNION.”

“The whole end of the season is just removing bearing walls from Robby’s life,” Wyle said at the time while appearing on The Watch, as reported by TVLine. “He leans so heavily on Collins and Langdon, and then you take them both away from him… he leans so heavily on Dana, and then she becomes compromised… and then his one last relationship to Jake is severed when he can’t save his girlfriend.” The thinking was, “let’s take away all this guy’s support system and have him out there [alone].”

He added that, if Collins was around, “I think she would have maybe been one of those voices that could have reached [Robby], and we didn’t want him to be reachable.”

The Pitt Season 2 is currently in production and is shooting for a January 2026 release.

Fans aren’t happy about Iteachor leaving the show

Fans were surprised to learn of Ifeachor’s departure from the show and expressed their confusion on social media.

Another said the actress’s presence on the show was imperative for Black representation in medical fields.

“Representation matters in storytelling in all media forms Seeing a Black woman ER physician is inspiring to girls, young women & ppl watching The Pitt So it’s not fair to erase Dr. Heather Collins cuz of unexpected bts stuff Either recast or add a Black woman MD in a central role” they wrote.

And one fan noted other actors of color who’ve been cut from recent projects.

Amaya, one of the first bombshells to enter the villa, and Bryan, who entered during the Casa Amor stage of the competition, coupled together later in the game but quickly won over fans. Amaya was arguably the fan-favorite of the season in her own right and was heavily speculated to win the competition once she found a perfect match in a partner.

As is per Love Island tradition, the two received envelopes, and one containing $0 and one containing $100,000. The person who received the money envelope could decide whether to keep the money to themselves and split it.

A Season 7 reunion episode was also confirmed for the season at the end of the finale. The reunion special will air on Aug. 25 at 9 p.m. on Peacock, hosted by both Ariana Madix and Andy Cohen. Per Peacock, “the reunion special will feature this season’s winners, fan-favorite couples, and this year’s bombshells for an up-close and personal look back at their experience in the Villa.”

Season 7 has ranked as the No. 1 streaming reality title for five weeks since its premiere, making this the “biggest season yet.” Over 40 percent of the audience for Season 7 are new viewers. Per Peacock, the show also had 130 million social interactions across Instagram, Facebook, X, and YouTube, “making it the most talked about entertainment series across all of television this summer.” 

In additional Love Island news, the Peacock global spinoff Love Island Games is also officially bowing in September on the streamer. The docuseries spinoff following the Season 6 Love Island USA cast, Love Island: Beyond the Villa, also premiered Sunday on Peacock.

He also described what fans can expect from Season 7 after Season 6 saw Mel and her diamond-in-the-rough bartender Jack Sheridan (Martin Henderson) get married.

“Season 7 will find Mel and Jack taking their first steps into marriage as they start to plan for and build a life and family together,” he said, adding that characters Dr. Vernon Mullins (Tim Matheson) and Hope (Annette O’Toole) will also figure out how to protect the clinic and the town from outsiders.

Who else stars in ‘Virgin River’?
