It all started on July 15, when Nicki called out SZA’s manager, Terrence “Punch” Henderson, saying he was “bullying” her on “Twitter for no reason.” It’s unclear where those allegations stem from, but Punch did tweet about “Broken Barbies” earlier that morning–and while it’s the name of his “Room Full Of Mirrors” groupmate Lyric Michelle’s new song and has nothing to do with Nicki, she may have jumped to conclusions.

“So glad I have proof of being bullied by AND being lied on by a man PUBLICLY,” the rapper wrote on X, “on a platform I use for my JOB; after I rejected his business proposition on more than one occasion.”

She continued, “He failed to disclose to the public that I had rejected his business propositions— and thereby acted in what appears to be retaliation purposefully used to cause financial damages & to engage in a smear campaign against the brand.”

Shortly after Nicki’s rant about Punch, SZA took to X with her own message, writing, “Mercury retrograde.. don’t take the bait lol silly goose.”

Though the “luther” singer didn’t direct her tweet at anyone specifically, Nicki quickly accused her of subtweeting and immediately jumped into defensive mode.

“Go draw your freckles back on bookie,” she said to SZA in one tweet. “B***h looking & sounding like she got stung by a f***ing bee. dot dot dot *Draws on my fake freckles*.”

Minaj also called the singer’s achievements into question, focusing on a recent record her 2022 album SOS broke by going 9x Platinum in under three years. The milestone made SZA the only Black artist to spend over 80 weeks in the Billboard 200’s Top 10 chart, surpassing Michael Jackson’s previous record, per E! News.

“B***h put out a whole new album as a deluxe to an already existing album that was out for like a year or 2 so the original album could break records,” Nicki said. “Like what in the insecure lack of morals & integrity you doing? I thought she was like a real artist? Girl bye.”

In response to her first tweet calling SZA out, the singer simply replied: “I don’t give a f**k bout none of that weird s**t you popping.”

When one Nicki fan told SZA she doesn’t wanna start this feud, the singer replied, “I get bullied by millions online every day then step my ass out onna packed stadium tour where ppl show me REAL love . IN REAL LIFE . My parents are healthy and I’m the most successful I ever been . GET SOME F***ING PERSPECTIVE n BARK AT THE WALL !!!”

Another fan accused her of “inserting herself” into a situation that didn’t involve her, to which she replied: “I wasn’t even talking about or to anyone I had just got off stage talkin bout retrograde . N****S @‘d ME . The F**K YES IM MAD NOW DO YOU NEED THAT !??”

In response to SZA’s back-and-forth with her fans, Nicki continued to rant about the songstress, retweeting AI explanations of why she’s more successful than SZA and even leaving voice notes about her disdain for her.

While she didn’t address the reason for her latest rant, directly, Nicki did retweet a post from her fan that seems to encompass why she’s upset.

“The whole issue is sza ‘coincidentally’ came on twitter talking about ‘not taking bait’ and a ‘retrograde’ that’s not even happening,” the fan wrote. “After not tweeting since june…until nicki spoke out about her manager who’s been harassing nicki since literally 2012…”

On The Breakfast Club this morning, Loren LoRosa broke down why this beef may have started in the first place, saying she reached out to Punch to ask, “how did we get here?” According to their conversation, the TDE President revealed that Minaj reached out back in 2020 about a SZA feature, which he said he would pass along. Nothing ever came of that interaction, and Punch claims he’s also “lost” about what caused Nicki to go off after that.

SZA has made it clear that she’s done with the back and forth, but knowing Nicki, this situation is likely far from finished.

Jay-Z has once again denied claims that he fathered a son in the 1990s, and he’s now asking a judge to intervene and stop the “decades-long harassment” he says he’s been forced to endure.

US Weekly reports that the accuser, Rymir Satterthwaite, has filed another lawsuit claiming that Jay-Z had a relationship with his mother over three decades ago that resulted in his birth. Though his mother has died since he first levied the accusations, he claims that his godmother, who acts as his caregiver, has faced “unrelenting efforts by [Jay-Z] and his enablers to suppress the truth and silence those who dared to speak it.” The truth, he alleges, is that he is Carter’s biological son.

Jay-Z, however, has had enough. US Weekly reports that last week, he asked a judge to help him finally put the “decades-long harassment” to rest and allow him to move on.

 “The fabricated allegations and claims have been addressed – and rejected — in multiple other courts and [Satterthwaite’s] continued harassment of [Jay-Z] and disregard of those orders has already resulted in a contempt order,” said Jay’s response to the lawsuit.

Statterhwaite has also made serious claims about Hov’s alleged refusal to take a DNA test and his exploitation of “legal systems in multiple jurisdictions to suppress [Rymir’s] paternity claim and prevent legal accountability.” He also alleges that his car was shot at six times in what he believes was an effort to silence him. Though he was once seeking child support from the “Empire State of Mind” rapper, he now says he is only demanding damages for the years of suffering he’s endured.

Jay Z’s legal team is asking the judge for more time to formally respond to the most recent lawsuit, as the rapper says he was unaware of it until earlier this month.

His lawyer argued that “[Jay-Z] will be irreparably prejudiced without additional time to evaluate and prepare his response to the complaint.” Satterthwaite, who is now 31, filed his own complaint without the help of a lawyer and asked the judge to also consider the emotional and psychological distress, anxiety, public embarrassment, and stress-induced health and mental health complications he’s endured.

Hov seemingly spoke on the allegations before in song form, of course. On the title track of his 2007 album, American Gangster, Jay-Z candidly rapped,

Ladies know I’m that guy, they wanna piece of my loveNow they wanna do your boy like Mike in his prime“Billie Jean – the goddamn boy ain’t mine”

In the meantime, Jay is busy supporting his wife, Beyoncé, and daughters, Blue Ivy and Rumi, on the Cowboy Carter Tour as fans have noted his presence at venues across the country, including Paris and Atlanta. He was also spotted supporting his friend, Fanatics founder Michael Rubin, at the annual festival by the company while donning a “Deja Blue” tee as a nod to his daughter’s featured moment on the tour. The Carter summer camp seems like tons of fun!

The episode, which aired July 13, wrapped up with a spicy twist as Andy turned the heat up on Angela, asking why she was so sure that Phaedra was the mastermind behind sending a man named Marcus — a supposed stranger — to stir the pot at Kelli Ferrell’s cooking event with cheating allegations about Charles.

“First and foremost, he told me it was Phaedra,” Angela explained, pointing out that Marcus’s aunt, and Phaedra’s brother, were classmates in her hometown, Athens, Georgia.

Baffled by Angela’s confidence, Andy replied, “This man who you’ve never met?” 

Phaedra jumped in quickly to defend herself and denied having anything to do with the drama. Still, Angela doubled down on her assuredness, accusing the RHOA alum of “lying.” She went on to pull out a giant file folder filled with receipts to prove her theory. The paperwork she obtained showed that Marcus’s aunt Kimberly was a high school friend of Phaedra’s older brother, but Andy, Phaedra, and the rest of the group were not convinced. 

“That’s just no coincidence,” said Phaedra.

Andy entered the chat with a valid question.

From there, the drama only intensified. Angela shared that Marcus was hesitant at first to reveal where the cheating rumors came from. “He didn’t just willingly give me your name,” the 44-year-old told Phaedra, 55. “He actually tried to put it on Kelli.” 

Phaedra clapped back instantly, claiming she had “heard” that it was actually Angela who pressured Marcus into naming her as part of the alleged setup. However, Andy stepped in with a pretty valid question.

“If he tried to put it on the other women, then what makes you think he was telling the truth about [Phaedra]?” the Bravo host inquired. 

Angela stood her ground, doubling down on her claim and pointing to the connection between Phaedra’s brother and Marcus’s aunt as proof.

“Seriously, Andy?” she said, clearly exasperated.

Trying to get to the bottom of it once and for all, Andy turned to Phaedra and asked point-blank if she had any sort of issue with Angela. But the former peach-holder dismissed the idea yet again, insisting she held no malice toward the Bravo newcomer.

“Of course not. I just met her,” Phaedra said. “I don’t even know her.”

Still, Angela speculated that Phaedra’s real motive was trying to “secure her spot” on #RHOA— a claim Phaedra immediately and fiercely shut down. Porsha Williams jumped in as well, rolling her eyes at the idea and chiming in that Phaedra’s spot was “secure” and that she didn’t need to make up drama to stay relevant for fans. 

Hopefully, we’ll get more answers in the next installment of the reunion. The anticipation is only growing as The Real Housewives of Atlanta Reunion Part 2 is set to air on July 20 at 8:00 PM ET on Bravo.

The move comes just as the Stone Mountain Memorial Association (SMMA) pushes forward with plans to reframe the narrative surrounding the nation’s largest Confederate monument, where towering carvings of Jefferson Davis, Robert E. Lee, and Stonewall Jackson have loomed since the early 20th century.

A Monument Etched in White Supremacy

Capital B reports the carvings—first etched into Stone Mountain in 1915—coincide with the Ku Klux Klan’s rebirth ceremony held at the mountain’s peak that same year. The 3,200-acre park, located in East Atlanta, has long been criticized for glorifying Confederate leaders and ignoring the trauma that legacy holds for Black Georgians and beyond.

Despite its past, the site is now frequented by a diverse crowd. From power-walking the trails to families scaling the rocky summit, the area has transformed into a symbol of dual realities—leisure and legacy. But behind the picturesque views, tensions are resurfacing.

Georgia Allocated $11M to Tell the Full Story

In 2021, amid nationwide protests over the murder of George Floyd, the Stone Mountain Memorial Association voted to remove Confederate flags from popular walking trails and approved plans for a new educational center. 

“We’ve just taken our first step today to where we need to go,” Rev. Abraham Mosley, the SMMA’s first Black chairman and an appointee of Governor Brian Kemp, told Captial B reporters.

With $11 million approved by Georgia’s General Assembly in 2023, the SMMA brought on Warner Museums to design the new exhibit. The proposed center is intended to contextualize the Confederacy and dismantle the falsehoods perpetuated by the “Lost Cause” movement.

According to the proposal, the exhibit will examine:

“…how the collective memory created by Southerners in response to the real and imagined threats to the very foundation of Southern society, the institution of slavery… was fertile ground for the development of the Lost Cause movement.”

The Lawsuit: A Battle Over History

Capital B via the Associated Press reports the Georgia Sons of Confederate Veterans are not satisfied. Their lawsuit cites two specific state codes passed in 2019: Georgia Code 50-3-1(b)(3), which bans the removal, relocation, or concealing of state-owned monuments, and Georgia Code 12-3-192.1, which mandates that Stone Mountain be preserved as a tribute to the Confederacy.

This legal pushback throws the SMMA’s plans into uncertain territory, with conservatives arguing that even contextualizing the monument crosses a line.

Trump-Era Policies May Complicate Things

Capital B notes that the National Park Service recently introduced signage with QR codes encouraging visitors to report any content that may seem “negative about either past or living Americans.” The initiative ties into former President Donald Trump’s executive order titled “Restoring Truth and Sanity to American History,” which was issued through Interior Secretary Doug Burgum.

The order calls for a review of all public monuments and educational signage removed or altered since January 1, 2020—raising questions about whether it could be weaponized to block efforts like the Stone Mountain “Truth Telling” exhibit. In that same year, even the modern-day Black Panther Party had to make their presence known at Stone Mountain in 2020 with a peaceful protest.

The Legacy Debate Isn’t Over

While there’s been no official word on how Trump’s order will impact the SMMA’s exhibit, the lawsuit showcases that Confederate defenders are still fighting to control the narrative. In the meantime, Black communities and advocates across Georgia continue pushing for public spaces that reflect truth—not whitewashed nostalgia.

Stone Mountain may be a scenic hike for some, but for others, it remains a battleground of memory, identity, and justice.

And in a shocker, the fourth couple to leave the villa before the finale, due to America’s vote, is…..Ace Greene and Chelley Bissainthe. The two Islanders, who had a star-crossed lovers storyline of sorts before finally being able to couple together and some ups and downs throughout the season, but had a pretty smooth journey toward the end before they finally closed off recently.

Prior to the episode airing, the two chatted with Blavity’s Shadow and Act about being eliminated right before the finale, what exactly went down at the Heart Rate challenge and its the mailbox night aftermath, the growth they’ve been through this season, how well they knew each other before the show and much more.

I’m actually very gagged to be chatting with y’all. I was thinking [you were] at least Top 2 [couples of the season]. What are your immediate feelings right now, as it seemed that you all had made progress in the past few days—a lot of cute dates, you got to go to the hideaway… shout out to the worldwide hit song “Eat That Kitty in the Hideaway.” What are your immediate thoughts on being so close to the end and being eliminated right now?

Chelley: It’s a bittersweet moment, honestly. We got to walk out together, so that means we won. So there’s not anything more I could really ask for. It’s just the feeling of leaving everybody behind. The close friendships that we made, the people that we love so much. It’s like, “Damn, we’re not going to wake up to you guys anymore.” But I mean, we still get to wake up together. So it’s just one of those things of like “Hey, I guess it had to end at some point,” you know?

Ace: Honestly, it is a bittersweet moment. We’re leaving a lot of friends behind, but I feel like I came and did what I needed to do. We had a long process throughout this entire season, and once I felt like it was time for me and her to be exclusive, I felt at that moment my journey ended. I was cool with it. It was just time for us to leave.

I want to talk to you both for a moment about the aftermath of the mailbox night. First off, I want to dive into the Huda and Ace moment [during the Heart Rate challenge]. What exactly happened in that moment and the levels of inappropriate it reached, because it definitely had a reaction with you both. And can you give me a perspective of what happened and how that made you both feel in that moment and in the time afterward?

Chelley: I know for me in that moment I was very upset, especially [when] we stand on this code of girl code, and having respect for one another in that moment, I didn’t feel like I was being respected. So in that moment, I was very disappointed; I didn’t enjoy it anymore. But we got to have a conversation and resolve it and find a middle ground to we could squash this, we could get past it and continue our friendship.

Ace: It’s 24 hours in a day. Only one hour gets shown. But as long as she moved on for me and she’s at a clear mind, that’s what I cared about is making sure she was okay. But it was a lot that went down.

Chelley, I also want to know if you could provide any more context about the conversations you and Huda had about Chris coming to the villa, and you not really feeling it was done with the same purpose in mind that you may have had.

Chelley: The conversation was, ‘I want to be able to bring him back.’ She knows Ace and I’s connection was very strong, so she knows there was a big chance that I wasn’t going to couple up with Chris. So her thing was like, “I know you guys still want to explore, so how about I bring them for you, and I’ll also explore, but I know what you guys have, and then we’ll just go from there.” And in the moment as the days were happening, it didn’t seem like that’s what it was. But also, I just realized for myself, I’m like, “You know what? After all was said and done and the arguing and stuff, everything worked out how it was supposed to.” So, yeah, it was just a crazy situation.

Last question about the mailbox episode. Ace, I want to dive into the Amaya of it all. You both had ups and downs with the relationship and later friendship during the season. It seemed you were a bit surprised that she was polling pretty high in the fan polls in the last few episodes. It seemed that you both came to a common ground as time went on, but a lot of fans were wondering: When you first chose Amaya, did you think you all would have had as many disconnects as you did? It seemed as if you chose her and it didn’t really go anywhere.

Ace: Honestly, how that all turned [out] to be was me and Chelley had a conversation of…we did know each other coming into this experience, but we weren’t going to just lock in with each other. We wanted to explore and get to know different people. So Amaya was one of those people who I really wanted to choose and get to know and get to explore. And, again, it’s 24 hours in a day, only one hour gets shown. And it was a lot of conversations that led up to that point. But Amaya is a great, great person. Amaya is an extremely friendly person, and I love the friendship that we’ve built. Our friendship started really, really earlier than what you guys have seen throughout this whole entire process, and that’s why I defend her. Even in conversations and stuff like that, we might’ve not worked out romantically, but as a friend, she’s super, super down to earth, and I love Amaya.

I always root for Black love on these types of shows. What do you think was the biggest point of growth you both achieved, from first having interest in each other, coupling, and to the point where we are now?

Chelley: I would have to say when the whole Casa Amor experience happened, before it was what people say is the honeymoon phase. But then Casa Amor happened, and that’s where more sides of us were being shown. We really were learning about each other’s communication style, what makes you feel good, what doesn’t make you feel good, and just really learning, “You know what? There’s more to relationships than all the happy and cheery things.” There’s the moments where things don’t feel so good, but how do you navigate that? So being that we were able to navigate, that was a turning moment of, “Okay, you know what? This is meant to be. This is my person.” Yeah, I mean, it’s not every day that you get to spend every single day and 24 hours with your friends. So at first, we all walked in, and we’re all strangers.

Talk a little bit about the friendships you built during this process. When Olandria went home, there is this gif of you and Huda, and people were like, “Chelly wants to get in Olandria’s suitcase.” Then Ace, you, Nic and Taylor have a tight friendship. You know, some people think you are the ring leader of sorts, but it showed how much you cared for each other because both of those eliminations were super emotional. Can you dive into how you have such strong bonds with these people in a short amount of time?

Chelley: I remember the first day, I always say to everybody how I pictured you the first day, I couldn’t imagine you being who you are now, because we were all so nervous and this and that. But instantly we realized, okay, we’re in the same experience. We’re together morning, noon, and night. We’re really seeing each other through and through at our best moments, at our worst moments. So many different things. And the moments that you guys don’t even get to see are when we’re together and we’re talking deeply about our past and where we come from and who we are, and really clicking and bonding on those things. So being in this whole thing together just made us grow this unforgettable bond that just can’t be broken.

No one could say that they went through the same experience with us, and that’s something we’ll always share. So those moments really made us so tight where it’s like, “Damn, that is why I was so devastated to see Olandria go because that’s my girl.” Everybody probably sees 10 minutes, five minutes of our relationship when I spent 24 hours with this girl every single day, and we were really pouring into one another. So it just was quite the experience.

Ace: For me, the ringleader comments….[laughs], it was never a matter of the ringleader. We all agreed with each other when it came to most topics, and that’s why I felt like we were so close. Mine might’ve been highlighted a little bit more because I’m very vocal. I communicate with everybody. I feel like my communication is through the roof. And the same thing with Taylor and Nic. It is just, again, mine might’ve been highlighted a little bit more, but it was never a matter of like, “Oh, go do this for me. Go do that. Go do this, go do that.” We all helped each other out one way or another throughout the villa, whether it was Taylor helping me with making breakfast, whether it was Nic helping me, giving me some advice on how to move about a certain situation. We all bounced off each other when it came to how to move through the villa.

Regarding to the type of relationships that we’ve built, I was really, really sad to see Nic go, because again, I’ve dealt with some really, really dark days in the villa of just missing home and missing family and friends because we’re isolated from that. We can’t reach out and call them with a question about how to move through this. We got to deal with the emotions head-on in the villa. So when that person leaves and that you feel that’s the person you’re closest to, it’s like, “Damn, I feel like a part of me has just left in this villa.” And it was tough, but we definitely made it through the process. We made it through the fire.

I know you two aren’t too hip to social media right now because you don’t have your phones, but you spoke early in the season about knowing each other prior to the show. But the internet has so many theories about how you actually knew each other so well before this competition and how. So can you just clarify the extent of what the relationship was before this, because there’s so many things.

Chelley: I want to say knowing each other could be used very loosely as well, because we met outside of a club in NYC. So with that being said, we exchanged each other’s social media. I didn’t even give him my phone number. We had each other on social media, and as people could see, he’s been in my comments. I’ve been in his. He might’ve been in my DMs. But nothing too crazy where at least what I’m hearing now is that we have kids, we’ve lived together, all these crazy things. And it just goes to show the internet is crazy. Even Amaya is someone that I’ve known before we got into the scene. Even seeing her was a shocker to me because I’m like, “What the f**k are you doing here?” Andreina was another person that I knew. So it was like, “Yo, this is actually crazy.” It was a joke of like, “Oh, Chelly knows everybody.” And even the other guys knowing each other too.

Ace: I knew Pepe. I knew Pepe before coming into this experience. I knew Nic and Jeremiah knew each other.

Chelley: They worked together before, so it’s just a thing of this is out of our hands. We just show up. We get the invite, and we show up. It’s a whole process to come onto Love Island. I know they go through extensive research to dot their I’s cross their T’s. It wasn’t a secret that we follow each other on social media and stuff, but as far as to say a relationship before this, and kids, and a house, and this and that is crazy. We were definitely friends on Instagram, but anything past that, he’s in LA. I was in New York at the time. It’s not that.

As someone who lives in New York City, it’s nothing to meet somebody out, and one night you follow them on Instagram. And then maybe a few months later, you’re like, “Who is this person? When did I meet them?”

Chelley: Exactly, exactly. And it really is like that. So it’s crazy. These people don’t know us. They don’t know me. These are allegations and stuff. But if you know anything about New York City, you could run into literally anybody and meet anybody. So, I mean, hopefully that answers all these people’s questions, but it was very funny to hear all these crazy ass things [laughs].
