A neurologist who spoke to TMZ is sharing new information about the condition of Wendy Williams, who was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia in 2024. The neurologist is now telling TMZ that the former talk show host doesn’t have frontotemporal dementia.
A judge used the diagnosis to justify the reason for keeping Williams in a guardianship for the past three years. Per the source, however, Williams recently went through a “battery of tests,” which determined that she doesn’t have dementia.

According to The Cut, the court made that decision after Williams’ bank said she is not capable of controlling her own finances. Two years later, Williams’ reps revealed that she had been diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia.
Williams’ diagnosis was upheld in August, even after she underwent more tests. Williams has continually maintained that she doesn’t have dementia.
Recently appearing at New York Fashion Week, Williams told the paparazzi that she felt “like a zillion dollars.” She also told Charlamagne tha God that she has passed multiple psychological tests, The Cut reported.
As she was heading to a restaurant earlier this year, Williams encountered a Page Six reporter and said, “Do I sound like I have dementia to you?”

Per TMZ, Williams was tested again more recently after she was evaluated in August. Williams’ doctor then provided the latest results to her lawyers. The Cut reported that this new information will be provided to the court in the next two weeks.
According to TMZ, Williams became sober three years ago, but she still remains under guardianship. Williams’ reps hope that the latest results will convince the judge to free her from guardianship.
