Taraji P. Henson and Joey Bada$$ have been set to star in Netflix’s ‘Tis So Sweet, an upcoming faith-based film directed by Tasha Smith and produced by Tyler Perry and DeVon Franklin.

The film will be the second project from the creative partnership that Perry and Franklin have at Netflix to produce faith-based films. The first film from the partnership, Ruth & Boaz, was released on Netflix earlier this year.

Here’s the logline for ‘Tis So Sweet:

Based on the incredible true story of Lenore Lindsey, the film follows a Chicago bakery owner who is stunned by a miraculous discovery that challenges her to reclaim lost time, heal old wounds, and find purpose in the unexpected. The news story went viral in November of 2024.

This is the latest Netflix project for Henson, who signed her own two-picture deal to star in and produce films at the streamer.

Randy Brown is the film’s writer, and executive producers are Tony Strickland and Angi Bones for Tyler Perry Studios, as well as Bart Lipton.
