Serena Williams And Sha’Carri Richardson Star In Kim Kardashian’s New Billion-Dollar NikeSKIMS Launch


The rich keep getting richer. Kim Kardashian has expanded her already billion-dollar apparel line, Skims, into the athleisure market with a new partnership with Nike.

The NikeSKIMS line was announced this week, featuring prominent female athletes. Serena Williams, the 22-time Grand Slam champion, along with the once fastest woman in the world, Sha’Carri Richardson, and Olympic gold medal gymnast Jordan Chiles, are part of the promotional campaign for the brand.

“I’m an athlete, but I love fashion too. It’s important for me to express myself, and I love how wearing NikeSKIMS allows me to do that,” Chiles said in a statement. “The NikeSKIMS product is a game-changer. I love the quality, how it moves with me and supports me in all the right areas. I feel sleek, comfortable and completely myself.”

Per Nike, the new line has 58 silhouettes over seven collections. The first looks rolling out are three core collections, Matt, Shine and Airy, and four seasonal collections, Vintage Seamless, Shiny Nylon, Matte Tricot and Weightless Layers. All of these include various examples of Nike’s most contemporary apparel technologies, including Dri-FIT, which keeps moisture from your skin, quick-drying fabrics and open-weave mesh.

“Wearing NikeSKIMS makes me feel confident and unrestricted,” Richardson said. “I feel fierce knowing I can look and feel this good while working hard.”

SKIMS founder Kim Kardashian says that she sees the line and the short film, Bodies at Work, which acts as the line’s first commercial, affirms the beauty and power of women’s bodies, across sports, ages, and sizes. More than 50 athletes appeared in the film, including college athletes and Nike athletes. Olympic snowboarder Chloe Kim, NCAA champion volleyball player Madisen Skinner and French judo champion Romane Dicko are part of the campaign.

“Our mission is clear: to redefine women’s activewear without compromise,” Kardashian said. “This collection brings together cutting-edge performance with bold, style-forward design, empowering athletes — from elite competitors to everyday gym enthusiasts — to move effortlessly and conquer their goals with confidence.”

The first NikeSKIMS collection drops September 26 on nike.com and SKIMS.com, and select locations of both brand’s retail locations.
