Sam’s Club shoppers may be able to shop longer on weekends due to a new hours-of-operation update that takes effect this weekend.

The membership-based warehouse club has announced the expansion of its Sunday schedule, starting Oct. 12. The news comes after the company received “overwhelming feedback” from its members, Steven Zapata, director of corporate communications at Sam’s Club, confirmed in an email to USA Today.

Zapata mentioned that most Sam’s Club locations will extend Sunday hours to 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., up from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., giving members two extra hours to shop, with a few exceptions.

The two Sam’s Club membership tiers explained

According to Nerd Wallet, Sam’s Club offers two main membership tiers:

The Club membership

With a Club membership at $50 per year, members can add up to eight additional members at a reduced rate of $45 each.

The Scan & Go feature lets members scan items as they add them to their cart and pay with the Sam’s Club app.

Free curbside pickup on eligible orders over $50

The Plus membership

At $110 per year, the Plus membership tier allows members to add up to 16 Club-level members at a reduced rate of $45 each. However, this feature is available only to Club members, with a limit of one Plus membership per household.

Plus members can get an early start by accessing the club at 8 a.m. The store opens at 10 a.m. for Club members.

Access to the Scan & Go feature to pay for in-club items.

Free curbside pickup on all orders over $50 and free shipping on eligible online items over $50.

Additional optical and pharmacy discounts

Get 2% in Sam’s Cash back on qualifying purchases.

Members can cancel their memberships at any time and receive a refund of the amount paid for their current-year membership.

What time will Sam’s Club be open on Sundays?

Here’s the revised hours of operation on Sundays in most Sam’s Club locations nationwide:

Curbside pickup: 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Plus Member shopping: 8 a.m. to 9 a.m.

Club shopping: 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Cafe: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Fuel: 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
