Rory Farrell of the New Rory & Mal podcast is in hot water after many racist retweets have resurfaced on social media, including one where he insulted Beyoncé and Blue Ivy’s names. According to HotNewHipHop, Farrell shared offensive comments about Black women that are not sitting right with fans of the podcast host.

“I’ve never saw a good looking black woman,” one of them reads.

In another, he claims that “every black woman has either, wanted to, thought about, or actually f**ked a white guy #whitepeoplefacts.”

According to Hot 97, screenshots of Farrell’s hateful comments about Black women circulated online earlier in November. Fans were particularly perturbed by one in which the podcast host called Beyoncé a “hoodrat” name and criticized Blue Ivy’s name.

Farrell, along with his podcast co-hosts Jamil “Mal” Clay and Demaris Giscombe, joined a X Spaces conversation to address the backlash, where several Black journalists and fans called him out for his racist comments, many of which he wrote about a decade ago. They also noticed the podcast host deleting some of his problematic posts in real time.

Farrell initially responded to the backlash sarcastically, despite Giscombe saying he can’t “troll” his way out of the situation, and emphasized his place in hip-hop culture. Fans felt as though he was dismissing the backlash and urged him to apologize to the people and his Black college fraternity, Kappa Alpha Psi.

Though he eventually apologized, he still argued that the backlash was unwarranted and that it sensationalized the situation.
