Kerry Washington is set to star in and executive produce the upcoming Netflix thriller, An Innocent Girl, which has also tapped James Marsden and Chloe East to star.

It is Washington’s latest Netflix film, with her prior projects for the streamer including Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery, The Six Triple Eight and The Prom. The film’s director is Jaume Collet-Serra, who teamed with Netflix on 2024’s Carry On.

What will ‘The Innocent Girl’ be about?

Here’s the logline for An Innocent Girl: “When a young and ambitious woman is seduced by a high powered D.C. couple, she’s drawn into a dangerous world of sex, power, and murder.”

Michael Mohan and Marc Guggenheim wrote the script, which has current revisions by Carly Wray. Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter are producing for Berlanti /Schechter Films, and the film falls under their creative partnership with Netflix.

Executive producers are Guggenheim, Mike McGrath, Scott Greenberg and Washington.

Washington has an upcoming Apple TV series, Imperfect Women, coming up soon, as does Marsden. He’s starring in Season 2 of Your Friends & Neighbors.
