The new drama series Ripple, which came to Netflix on Dec. 3, is already a crowd favorite, and fans want to know as much as they can about a possible second season.
The series, which originally hails from Lionsgate Television and was at one point attached to Hallmark+ before heading to Netflix, hasn’t been renewed just yet, nor has Netflix put out any statement about the future of the series. The Hunting Wives, another Lionsgate Television-produced series, was going to air on Lionsgate’s former corporate sibling, Starz, before Starz was spun off into another entity. The Hunting Wives then landed on Netflix for its first run as a non-original, before blowing up and going viral on the platform. Netflix then renewed it for Season 2, and it’ll be a global Netflix original.
As for Ripple, Cosmopolitan reports that the cast have all shared their love for the series on social media, with Lionsgate TV reposting pictures shared by the stars, including Frankie Faison.
Just Jared has also reported how creator and executive producer Michele Giannusa said to What’s On Netflix that she has many ideas for where the show’s story can go.
“I’ve always had five seasons in my pocket,” she said. “I won’t tell you, but I know exactly what the very last shots of the last episode looks like. I really, really hope we can keep telling these stories. There are so many stories. I mean, you should just see my notes. So many more stories that I can’t wait to tell.”
She continued, “And also, just the fact that with our writer’s room alone, I mean, they come in with their own stories. And so we’re all excited to keep telling this. So the answer is yes, we have many more stories to tell, and I hope we get to keep telling them.”

Ripple stars Faison, Julia Chan, Ian Harding and Sydney Agudong as four New Yorkers whose lives have intertwined without them ever knowing.
