Coco Gauff Attends Brother Codey’s Signing Day Event At Mizzou – Blavity

Coco Gauff isn’t the only star athlete in her family. According to Pro Football Network, the tennis champion’s brother Codey Gauff, officially signed with the University of Missouri’s Mizzou Tigers on Wednesday, and Gauff was the epitome of a proud sister at the event.

Gauff called Codey her ‘GOAT’ and ‘inspiration’ on social media

Codey announced his commitment to the Mizzou Tigers in October 2024 after playing with the San Diego Padres for three years. Before the Padres, Codey played high school baseball with the Elite Squad Academy, an institution that allows students to attend either in person or at home as they pursue sports, People reported.

Gauff shouted out her younger sibling on Instagram Stories, sharing a picture of the two of them with a painting of Codey at his signing event.

“Signing day for my lil bro so proud of you. Go be great, My GOAT, my inspiration, my reason, my first friend. I love you! Proud of you!#D1,” Gauff wrote alongside the snap.

Gauff has also hopped in the comments of other posts celebrating Codey’s signing day.

“My goat, love you,” she wrote under a Fast Living Productions post of the Gauff family at Codey’s signing day.

Codey was one of 10 athletes signed to Mizzou’s 2026 roster

According to the Columbia Missourian, Codey was one of 10 athletes the University of Missouri signed to its 2026 class on Wednesday. Outfielder Hayden Sharp and infielders Seaton Thompson and Nolan Sissom also made it on the Tigers’ roster.

The nationally ranked team also welcomed pitchers Dylan Curtis, Jacob Janisko, Jake Brettschneider and Zach Van Hook to its 2026 class.
