Chloe Bailey has been added to the cast upcoming film The Julia Set, which stars One Battle After Another breakout, Chase Infiniti.

Deadline reports that Carmen Ejogo and Bailey are among a new round of actors added to the cast, including Nina Hoss, Nico Hiraga, Liz Lin and Alex Dillard. Chase Infiniti, Christopher Briney, Gillian Anderson and Jason Isaacs were previously announced as the film’s leads.

What’s the plot of ‘The Julia Set’ film?

The Julia Set is written and directed by Niki Byrne and stars Infiniti as Julia, “a talented mathematician in a fiercely competitive academic environment,” according to the article. Briney plays a T.A. named Pascal who brings Julia into an “elite prep course for the most challenging math competition in the world, The Putnam Exam.”

It is currently unknown who Bailey, Ejogo and the rest of the additional cast will play.

The If/Then Initiative, whose mission is to highlight positive STEM role models, is supporting the production of the film. Jeffrey Penman, The Gotham Group’s Lee Stollman and Ellen Goldsmith-Vein, and Anderson are also producing with Tayler Haynes and Nick Scherma. Infiniti is executive producing with If/Then’s Margaret Black and Nicole G. Small. Potato Salad Cosmic Domination also produces with G Nus Media, Cinetrain and Melegrano. HanWay Films also produces as well as handle international sales.

HanWay’s CEO Gabrielle Stewart said in a statement how HanWay “all loved Niki’s excellent screenplay following the journey of a young woman assuming her genius in an academic field dominated traditionally by men and how challenging that is for her.”

“In a way this is a female-led Good Will Hunting,” she continued. “And the cast could not be more exciting nor of the moment!”

Infiniti is currently starring in the previously mentioned One Battle After Another, alongside Leonardo DiCaprio, Regina Hall and Teyana Taylor.
